Our "Lady Wild" logo symbolizes our commitment to three key elements: people (woman), the planet (mountains and flowing water), and animals (feathers). Originally designed to resemble our founder, Jennifer Killian, it includes nods to her Latin American heritage (Costa Rican and Mexican) and the Wasatch mountains, where she first fell in love with the outdoors. The name AndShesDopeToo celebrates the power, beauty, and uniqueness of every woman. It encourages us to leave judgments and comparisons behind and let the fresh air of the outdoors foster unity and synergy among us.
We’ve cultivated warm connections, much like the comforting feeling of looking into a campfire with its bright orange and yellow embers flickering in the dancing flames. A campfire has a magical energy that embraces all who gather around it.
At ASDT, our outdoor women’s community evokes that same comforting and magical feeling. From day one, our goal has been to eliminate any sense of comparison and competition. We welcome women from all walks of life and ability levels to join our adventures. We aim to make every woman feel completely comfortable in her own skin by providing opportunities to try new and exciting things.
In today’s busy culture, with meetings to attend, work to do, family commitments to fulfill, and unwanted stress and drama to manage, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. We face break-ups, job losses, the loss of loved ones, fights, flat tires, dating challenges, and the demands of parenting. ASDT helps women break through the stresses and trials of everyday life by fostering long-lasting friendships and creating unforgettable experiences.
Our community is full of everyday, relatable women just like you and me. We encourage women to step out of their comfort zones and experience the unfamiliar or to pursue and enhance activities they already love.
When you join one of our meetups, retreats, or rendezvous, you are always greeted and accepted with genuine conversations from down-to-earth people. Our only agenda is to create a safe space for you to try new outdoor activities with other amazing women! We understand that as adult women, it can be intimidating to try new things. You might be 30 years old and have never stepped foot on a yoga mat. You may have an itch to explore some local trails but are afraid to go alone. Perhaps you’re interested in rock climbing but don’t want to go to the gym with a “newbie” label.
Don’t worry—ASDT embraces newbies, and chances are, we’ll learn something from you as well! Come explore the trails with us. Grab that yoga mat and practice with us. We welcome 55-year-old newbies, 25-year-old experts, and everyone in between. You’re wanted, just as you are.
We strive to create a strong, healthy, and positive environment so that any woman who attends an ASDT event will walk away feeling taller, stronger, and more confident. We want all participants to feel that campfire magic, and from what we've heard, that's exactly what happens.
